In a high-volume parcel hub, unguided round belts caused misalignments and frequent stops. We replaced them with weldable PU belts with a central guide, selecting 88 ShA hardness and validating pulley diameters to avoid fatigue.
Results: 30% downtime reduction, lot and splice traceability, and a preventive maintenance plan with pre-cut kits for 48h.
