Quick guide to choose PVC/PU belts
How to select material, thickness and finish based on load, friction and cleaning.
Define the application: conveying, synchronising or accumulation. Choose PVC for dry environments and PU for hygiene. Match top hardness to the friction needed and validate thickness versus minimum pulley diameters. Add profiles and guides only where stability is needed, and plan the splice: mechanical for fast maintenance or thermofused for hygiene.
Check CE/FDA/USDA compliance when there is food contact and close with a parameter sheet: load, speed, temperature and cleaning.
